Hugo Chavez has done it again. He is one of the handful of politicians from around the globe, who possess the guts and the determination to stand up to the greatest bully in the world- the US government.
Chavez called the ongoing Israeli military offensive in Palestine as 'Holocaust in progress.' Apparently he is the only world leader to criticize the Zionist state's acts of terror in such terms.
Chavez's decision to expel the Israeli Ambassador from Venezuela should act as a real eye-opener for Arab and other Muslim states who pretend not to see the sufferings of their Brothers and Sisters in Palestine. The Muslim states should understand that there is no need for them to act as mere satellite-outlets for US foreign policy that is suppressive and heavily biased to say the least.
I do feel that the need of the hour in the Gulf, and the Maghreb are leaders like Chavez, who, in spite of the heavy odds against him, refuses to be intimidated by the bullies.
